Dining with Mister D…

Dining with Mister D…

Im not one for a go with the flow sort of attitude, but this week we decided to see what all the hype was about in town.
As you round the corner of Voortrekker Road and Sarel Cilliers Street on your way towards the N7, on your left-hand side you will find a quaint and cosy Coffee Shop called ‘Koffie.’

As you enter the door of ‘Koffie’ you are greeted with the smell of freshly baked goods, it was just after 7am and there were a few people in front of us, we were all assisted very quickly, once we indicated that we would be sitting down to enjoy our order we ushered to the tables at the front of the store overlooking the Main road where we could discuss the days business ahead and also watch Malmesbury getting ready for the day ahead.

The counter is filled with freshly baked goods, from Chocolate Brownies, Cheesecakes, Muffins, Tarts and Quiche to name a few.

We had just started chatting when our order arrived – a Cappuccino, Hot Chocolate and a Chocolate Brownie to share (2020 stress has taken its toll), served with a freshly baked chocolate cookie with accompanies all the coffee orders.
Its not everyday that one gets to enjoy a sit down and coffee with a good friend and colleague!

With the first sip of our coffee and bite of the chocolate brownie all our worries and stress seamed to just disappear, you can taste the love that the coffee and brownie were made with, its not just a recipe to the staff that they need to follow!

There are daily specials that are created in the ‘Koffie’ kitchen for you to enjoy with your coffee as well as daily meals that can be ordered to enjoy in the comfort of your own home, all this while you catch up on mails while connected to the free wifi.

We were served by Celeste and Nikita who made us feel so welcome, as we left we were greeted and told “Ons sien julle definatief weer!” And that you most definitely will!

Our score for ‘Koffie’ – definitely Five Stars!

Koffie is open – Monday to Friday from 7am till 5 pm and Saturdays from 8am till 1pm
