…at Peaberry Café

As you drive into Malmesbury from Paarl you are welcomed by the Peaberry Café on your left hand side, also known as the “Bumble-Bee” building.
Peaberry was established in May 2020, slap bang in the middle of the Covid-19 Lock down by Benitha Nel. Benitha who is no stranger to the Hospitality Industry has always had a passion for what she does, entertaining and coming up with the most amazing dishes in the kitchen comes naturally to her.
As you enter Peaberry Café you are greeted with the most amazing smells coming from the kitchen, if that is not enough you walk right through their deli filled with chutneys, sauces, biscuits, home made foods and rusks to name a few. There is also coffee, t-shirts, mugs, shoes as well as childrens toys that can be purchased.

You can either be seated inside near the roaring fire for those cold winter days or with the weather being the way it has the last few weeks you can be seated outside under their Bedouin tent. The smell of the wood-fired pizzas is enough to make anyone hungry!

The coffee served at Peaberry is a blend supplied by the Black Sheep Coffee Company, smooth and the taste of caramel rolls over your taste buds.
On todays trip we decided to sample a breakfast quiche – Bacon and Mushroom, which made me think back to the time that I would sit in my Granny’s kitchen and watch her make all sorts of delicious things. This was followed by a Peaberry pizza, the thin base and baked to perfection was absolutely to die for!

There is a wonderful enclosed kiddies play area that has sandpits, jungle gyms, slip and slide as well as a jumping castle and all of this can easily be seen from the outside seating so that mommy and daddy can relax while the children get rid of some pent up energy!
We were served by Elmarie who always has the biggest smile on her face, you can see this through her mask! Elmarie is friendly, knows her menu and is super efficient!

There is a private function area that can be booked for small weddings, conferences or private functions. The outside area is perfect for kiddies parties, baby showers or team buildings!
